*       Hours: Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

*       Time and day individually determined

*       Grades 9 – 12

*       Adheres to California State & District Standards

*       Transferable credits

*       Earn high school diploma

*       Transition & counseling services available

 

Poseidon School Special Ed Independent Study Program is for students with special needs:

 

*       Has current I.E.P., providing Special Ed services from school district to attend
  Non-Public School

*       Needs alternative environment to regular classroom setting

*       Works to complete credits for high school diploma and passing CAHSEE 
  requirements

*       Ability to work independently on an on-going basis

 

 

The Private Pay Independent Study program is for those students who:

 

*       Does not have an I.E.P. with school district

*       Has  part-time or full-time employment

*       Works in the arts, entertainment or sports industry

*       Needs an alternative learning situation

*       Travels

*       Have health challenges

*       Want an accelerated course of study

*       Are home schooled

*       Want to pass the CAHSEE or GED

 

Director/Teacher Elaine Kondo-McEwan  with over 30 years experience,  is fully credentialed in K-12 education and holds a masters in Special Education.
