As the director of Poseidon, a small school for adolescents with special learning needs in West Los Angeles, it came to my attention that our decades-long individualized approach to learning would really benefit all “regular” education students as well. Especially, homeschoolers.

I speak from experience. You see, I’ve homeschooled my own
13-year-old son from the start to provide him with the kind of flexible, student-lead curriculum that fosters the utmost creativity, exploration and curiosity.

At Poseidon we happen to be in a great position to offer homeschoolers classes in higher math, science, and social studies through our
Independent Study Program. It offers flexible, self-paced learning by credentialed, nurturing, creative educators.

So, guess what? My son is the first “regular ed.” homeschooler to
