Has current I.E.P., providing Special Ed services from school district to attend
Needs alternative environment to regular classroom setting
Works to complete credits for high school diploma and passing CAHSEE requirements
Ability to work independently on an on-going basis
The Private Pay Independent Study program is for those students who:
Does not have an I.E.P. with school district
Has part-time or full-time employment
Works in the arts, entertainment or sports industry
Needs an alternative learning situation
Travels
Have health Challenges
Want an accelerated course of study
Are home schooled
Want to pass the CAHSEE or GED

design a program around a special interest like history or environmental studies, study while pursuing a career
in the arts or sports, or just thrive in an individualized
academic environment, our staff will design a program
that not only meets your needs, it facilitates them.
Starting with a meeting to set your goals, we’ll help
you determine which courses fit best, how many to take,
and in what order. We’ll also schedule face-to-face
time to help keep you on track for maximum success.
You may be learning your way, but you won’t be doing
It alone. Our Independent Study Program team provides
The most vital part of any program: lots of support.
Our master teacher and guidance counselor meet
Regularly with you to develop the skills and strategies
That will help you succeed in reaching your academic,
career, and personal goals.
No independent study program would be worth it’s name
If it didn’t prepare you to become truly independent.
Our lifeskills and transition services are integral part
of your courses of study. You’ll learn hoe to manage
your time, apply for a job, develop a resume, prepare
for an interview, even manage a bank account.
If your goal is higher education, our program can
Coordinate with community college classes in foreign
Language, lab science, or any other interest. We also
Offer college application counseling.
